2005 Audi TT

Background, features, pricing, and specifications for the 2005 Audi TT coupe and convertible. The TT was among Car and Driver Magazine's Ten Best list for 2000 and 2001.

Audi, a German automobile maker headquartered in Bavaria, is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group that traces its origins back to 1899. Audi's motto is 'Progress through Technology,' and as evidence of that, Audi is the only car manufacturer that produces 100% galvanized vehicles to prevent corrosion.

The cute and compact Audi TT was produced in Hungary, and was first shown at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show. The TT hatchback coupe was released in 1998, and was followed by the TT roadster in 1999. The TT received a nomination for North American Car of the Year in 2000, and made Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 2000 and 2001. Although the 2005 TT Coupe and Roadster aren't notably different from the previous models, the new models include an Alcantara-rimmed steering wheel, an option for a Sirius satellite radio, and a new exterior color known as Cambridge Green pearl effect.
