2005 Jeep Liberty Sport, Rocky Mountain, Limited, and Renegade
Features, pricing, and specifications for the 2005 Jeep Liberty compact SUV. Discusses Sport, Rocky Mountain, Limited, and Renegade trims.
The Jeep Liberty competes in the popular compact sport utility segment. It was introduced in 2001 to fill the gap between the Jeep Wrangler and the high-end Grand Cherokee. The exterior takes styling elements from the more traditional Wrangler in a larger, more convenient, family-sized package. There are 4 available trim levels: Sport, Rocky Mountain, Limited, and the all-new for 2005 Renegade.
A 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with 150-horsepower is standard on Sport models; other models come with the 3.7-liter V6 with 210-horsepower. A new 2.8-liter 4-cylinder common rail turbo diesel is available on Sport and Limited versions. The 2005 Liberty is a carryover from last year's model with few minor exterior updates and a slightly revised interior.
Base MSRP for the 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport 4X4 start at $21,650 to $25,985 for the Limited 4X4.
