2005 Maserati Coupe
Background information, features, pricing, and specificaitons for the 2005 Maserati Coupe sports model.
Once a family-owned car company, Maserati is now under ownership under Fiat, one of the largest Italian automakers on the market today. Maserati boasts a dedicated following which rivals those of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. It has built a reputation for high-performance luxury vehicles that are coveted throughout the world because of their limited production.
One of the models currently in production is the Coupe. The Coupe is able to seat 4, unlike other sports cars. Like many other models, it's considered a lightweight, weighing in at 405 pounds. Unlike other high-performance sports cars, however, the Coupe's body styling is quite subtle. The simple contours, sleek and contemporary, are almost plain when one considers power lying underneath the hood.
According to those at Road and Track, www.roadandtrack.com, the engine is the defining element of this car, describing it as raspy and wickedly addicting. They describe the overall look and feel of the car as a conservative Ferrari, a fair comparison since Ferrari is also owned by Fiat. Therefore, there's bound to be some similarities. The Coupe comes in two packages: the GT and the cambiocorsa.
Standard Features:
- 4.2 liter V8 engine with 390 horsepower
- Stability program
- Automatic slip regulation
- Electronic brake distribution
- Skyhook
- 6-speed automatic overdrive or 6-speed manual overdrive transmission
- Leather seating
- Navigational system
- Traction control
The 2005 Maserati Coupe starts at $82,633.
