A description and some specifications for the newly-redesigned 2005 NIssan Frontier Crew and King compact pickups. Includes a list of standard and optional features for each trim level, including the XE, SE, LE, and Nismo 4x4.
Nissan (Datsun) was the first foreign automaker to import a compact pickup truck to the U.S. in 1959. The Frontier compact pickup is redesigned for 2005 with a more aggressive exterior and an increase in power meant to compete with the other trucks in its class. Two cab configurations are available, the King and the 4-door Crew cab. To go along with the cab options are four trim levels: XE, SE, LE, and Nismo. Available engines include a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 154-horsepower and a 4-liter, 265-horsepower V6 that can tow up to 6,500lbs. Some notable features include a full-length fully boxed frame and 4-wheel anti-lock brakes.
Base MSRP for the XE 4X2 King cab start at $15,600 and up to $26,850 for the Nismo 4X4.
