The Nissan Xterra represents a throwback to the days when an SUV was actually built on a truck frame and was built to be taken off-road. The Nissan Frontier-based Xterra made its debut in 1999 and delivered on its promise of 4X4 utility at a lower price than other SUVs. The Xterra comes standard with an all-new 4.0-liter V6 with 265-orsepower derived from the Pathfinder. There are three available trim levels: the base S, mid-level Off-Road, and top-of-the-line SE. Some notable features include a fully boxed ladder frame, Xterra's signature roof rack with covered gear box, and Easy-Clean cargo area.
Base MSRP for the S 4X2 start at $20,850 and up to $27,350 for the 4X4 SE.
