Background and specifications for the 2005 Pontiac Gramd Am GT and GT1 coupes. Discusses both standard and optional features.
The Grand Am coupe is Pontiac's best-selling model designed to appeal to a younger audience. The sedan version was cut from the lineup in 2005. There are currently two trim levels offered, the GT and the GT1. Both versions are powered by a 3.4-liter V6 that produces 174-horsepower with 205-lb/ft of torque. This combination is good for an EPA estimate of 20-MPG in the city and 29-MPG on the highway. Some notable features include a ram-air hood to induce cold air into the engine and an enhanced traction control system for inclement weather.
Base MSRP for the GT coupe start at $23,125 and up to $24,375 for the GT1 coupe.
