Chevrolet, more commonly known as 'Chevy,' was co-founded by race-car driver Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. Durant, a previous GM employee, was looking to regain his reputation as an automobile manufacturer after the company let him go. The Chevrolet Aveo is based on the Flex concept, and is a result of GM's partnership with the Korean manufacturer, Daewoo; it began sales in 2003 and replaced the Chevrolet Prizm.
