The Suzuki Aerio is a compact sedan with a wagon option that was introduced to the market in 2002. The sedan version is known as the base trim level while the wagon is known as the SX trim level. Only minor differences in features separate these two trim levels. A premium package is available for both trim models.

Only one engine is offered for the Aerio-a 2.3-liter, inline 4-cylinder engine that has 155 horsepower. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on front wheel drive models while a four-speed automatic transmission is optional. Additionally, an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system is offered as an option, but only comes with an automatic transmission. The sedan has a standard 14.6 cubic feet of trunk space, while the wagon offers 63.7 cubic feet with rear seats folded down.

Base MSRP for the Aerio starts at $14,579, but the SX wagon starts at $17,579.
